My Ventures Adventures

Hi Stacey again, stwhitney
(Allowedtoroam)

Getting back to my roots:

Being born in a small town in Newfoundland has always given me the feeling of being unique. Being isolated our only mode of transportation at that time was either by boat or horse and sleigh. It was like that until I was about 7 or 8yrs old but then our mode of transportation became the same as every other place in the world. Our uniqueness ended there. Was that Good or Bad the jury is still out on that one...

It was a wonderfully simple life, where everyone was your friend and or mentor. We worked together, played together, laughed and cried together. It was a time of friendship and hope. Most of us became well educated and went on to be doctors, nurses, artists, teachers and many other great careers came from that little town.

We had great parents who taught us well. There are five siblings, four girls and one boy. I had the luck of being in the middle. The younger two "Looked Up" to me and the older two "Looked Down" at me, but it was all good. Being the only boy, my brother was really spoiled by us all, but he has become a great man, brother, friend and mentor to me. We have all gone our own ways but are still a very close net family.

At the age of sixteen I left the "Nest" and went out into the world to fend for myself at first I missed my family and friends so very much, but in time, I learned we have to pay some prices and move on to make our own lives and place in the world.

I guess that's it for now since you already know some of the rest of my story on my Ventures Adventures! I will keep you posted!

Kindest regards,
Stacey, stwhitney
